Create an API key

Create and name your key

Go to API keys ↗ to create a new key.Be sure to give the key a name that your team will recognize.

Store the key

Copy the key when it is shown. Store it in a secrets manager or environment variable.
Treat API keys like passwords. Do not commit them to source control or share them in chat or tickets.

Include your key in request headers as x-api-key:

Open API keys

Go to API keys ↗.

Revoke the key

Revoke any key that is unused, exposed, or tied to a project you no longer need.
API keys belong to an organization and cannot be transferred. If a key was created under the wrong organization, create a new key in the correct organization and update your clients.
