No. Creating a Learning Commons Platform ↗ account is free and gives you full access to Knowledge Graph, Evaluators, and Agent Skills. Knowledge Graph, Evaluators, and Agent Skills are openly licensed and free to use.
No. Knowledge Graph and Evaluators serve different stages of an AI content generation pipeline and can be used independently.With that said, many teams find value in integrating both products – Knowledge Graph to ground content generation and Evaluators to verify the output.

Platform

Your Platform ↗ account allows you to:
The Learning Commons Platform ↗ manages access to API keys, gated datasets, team collaboration, and permissions by organization.You will be prompted to create your organization when first signing in to your Platform account. Any API keys you create will be linked to that organization automatically.
Unfortunately, API keys can’t be transferred between organizations. You’ll need to create new API keys in the correct organization and update your projects to use them.Your old API keys will continue to work until you manually delete them, so you can migrate at your own pace.

Knowledge Graph is LLM-agnostic — you can use it with OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, or any other provider.If you’re building an agent-based workflow, the MCP server makes it simple to work with Knowledge Graph data. You can use it directly with the LLM’s API or SDK (e.g., Messages APIs or Agents SDK) or with a coding agent (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor).See Agent plugins and Agent Skills for more information.
Knowledge Graph covers all 50 U.S. states, with availability varying by dataset and subject. AI often fails educators in predictable ways (e.g., grade-leveling text, aligning to standards, etc.). Our evaluators address this known credibility gap:
  • Validated against expert-annotated datasets
  • Grounded in human expertise, learning science, and academic standards
  • Provide actionable guidance on filling the gaps in your AI-generated content

Our evaluators allow you to incorporate standards-aligned educational data into your AI content generation pipeline – all without having to rely on slow and expensive human evaluation.Our evaluators are also interoperable with many industry tools (e.g., BrainTrust ↗, LangSmith ↗, Arize ↗, LangWatch ↗, and Langfuse ↗), so you don’t have to completely overhaul your tech stack.

You retain ownership of any content you submit to Learning Commons evaluators.Learning Commons uses your submitted content as described in our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy to provide, operate, develop, and improve our services. Some evaluators rely on third-party large language model (LLM) providers to generate evaluation results. When an evaluator uses one of these providers, the content you submit is sent to that provider to perform the requested evaluation.
